Supporting our customers in difficult times

COVID-19 Update from DuctStation

We all know the seriousness of this virus and I am sure we are all taking steps to protect our staff and ourselves, as well as our businesses. I would just like you to know that as long as you need our products we will do everything we can to supply them.

Supply of Products
On Tuesday of last week, we took the decision for our office staff to work from home. This means that Linda, Cheryl and I are working from different “offices” and we all have the equipment we need to send and receive emails and keep in touch. We have devised a method to coordinate our work and, so far, things are going well. Chris is our “anchor man” in the office and warehouse, assisted by our new recruit, Daniel.

We will keep an eye on the business from home and Chris and Daniel will receive the orders and pick and dispatch them. A time may come when they only go in if there are orders to send and we anticipate that this is perfectly possible as both live nearby and, as long as they and their loved ones are healthy and the authorities allow it, they will be able to do this. If we believe the risk has become too great, we will not hesitate to close operations and ask them to stay at home, in which case we will inform you.

If there are times when our service is not perfect, we ask for your understanding. We will be doing our best to help you.

Contacting DuctStation
If you call our office number 01842 777 666 you may be answered by Chris but if he is in the warehouse the call will divert to me after a few rings. If you cannot get through then please feel free to call my home number 01953 688 517 or my mobile 07777 666 016.

Our emails are also accessible and being checked.

The Future
Looking to the future, we have not stopped ordering from our suppliers in China and, as I write, we have 5 containers that are either already on their way or will be in the next few days and at least another 5 or 6 in production, so once this situation has turned around we expect to have a full warehouse, ready to meet demand. With the cooperation of our suppliers in China, we will do everything we can to mitigate the effects of the dramatic fall in the value of our currency.

It is difficult to know what else to say except that I trust everyone will keep safe and that we will all get through this in the end.

With best wishes for your safety and kind regards,

Philip Milmine – Managing Director
